The community is known to the local residents as the 'Last stop to the Border', since it is located less than 1 mile (1 km) from Wisconsin's border with Minnesota, and main intersection in the community is located at the intersection of two state highways (Wisconsin Highway 35 and Wisconsin Highway 77).

Danbury, Wis -- On October 9, 2019 the Tribal Business League holds the launch party at the St. Croix Casino Danbury in Danbury, Wisconsin.

Present were tribal leaders from Lac du Flambeau, Lac Courte Oreilles, St. Croix, Bad River, Red Cliff, and Mole Lake. In addition to tribal leaders, all enteprise managers from member tribe business enterprises were on site.
